Clearwater Community Volunteers Center Gathers Toys for Pinellas County Foster Children

Foster children from across Pinellas County come to the Christmas for Foster Children event to receive toys and play with Santa Claus.

To be able to provide that joy is priceless. It’s what the Holidays are all about.”

CLEARWATER, FL, US, December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center announces its Christmas presents drive for the annual Holiday Fun for Foster Children event, which will take place on the 15th December from 1-4 pm at Winter Wonderland in Downtown Clearwater. The Center is accepting new unwrapped presents for children of all ages, so that the 150 foster children who will attend the event can experience the Holidays with a present of their own. Anyone can drop off a gift donation at the CCV Center, 133 Fort Harrison Ave, Clearwater. The Center is open every day from 10am to 10pm.

“I remember the joy my children experienced when I gave them presents on Christmas. We do events like these because it breaks my heart to know that some children not even 30 minutes away from my house won’t get that joy on Christmas,” said Pam Ryan Anderson, Executive Director of the Clearwater Community Volunteers. “To be able to provide that joy is priceless. It’s what the Holidays are all about.”

Outside of this special event, Winter Wonderland will be open every day from 6pm to 9pm through December 22nd, except on Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is free but there is a small charge for some activities and the food items in the Hot Chocolate Shop (cash-only transactions).

To find out more information about the event or the Clearwater Community Volunteers Center please call Michael Soltero at (727) 316-5309 or email ccvdirector@ccvfl.org.
