Kentucky falls to Alabama 99-70
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Kentucky was shorthanded coming into Friday’s game without Lamont Butler.
After trailing early, the Cats got back in it. Andrew Carr scored inside to tie it at 14.
Scary moment midway through the first half. Otega Oweh takes an elbow to the face. He would come out of the game but would return.
UK kept it close. Amari Williams with the slam, but Alabama took a 45-38 lead into the locker room.
The second half got away from the Cats. Mark Sears with the logo three to put Bama up 20. Later, Jaren Stephenson drains the long ball.
Alabama beats Kentucky for the third time this season 99-70. It’s on to Selection Sunday for the Cats.
For the men’s teams, they will learn their fate Sunday when the bracket is revealed at 6 p.m. As for the women’s teams, they will also learn who they will be playing following the men’s bracket reveal at 8 p.m.
