MARY ALICE ALBRECHT

Mary Alice Albrecht, 89, of Fort Dodge and formerly of Clare passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Simpson Health Center, Friendship Haven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at Corpus Christi Church with Rev. Patrick Behm officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Alice is survived by her children, Dave Albrecht and his wife, Lori of Sergeant Bluff; Terry Albrecht and his wife, Deb of Fort Dodge; Diane Grebner and her husband, Ron of Fort Dodge; seven grandchildren; and six great-grand children.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances (Hyde) Moore; husband, Ernest J. Albrecht; brothers, John and James Moore; and a sister, Genevieve Lutz.

Mary Alice Moore was born October 14, 1928 in Clare. She was raised in Clare and graduated from St. Matthew’s High School. After graduation, Alice worked as a secretary for the Fort Dodge Labs for a period of time. On October 21, 1950, Mary Alice was united in marriage to Ernest Albrecht at St. Matthew’s Church and couple first made their home in Clare. In 1965, the Albrecht family moved to Fort Dodge. Alice was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
